AUTHOR BIOGRAPHIES

Dionísio Alves de França is an architect. He is currently studying in the Graduate Program of the Nagoya Institute of Technology.

Tânia Battella de Siqueira is an architect and urbanist. She is a legislative adviser to Congresswoman Érika Kokay in the Federal District’s House of Representatives. Batella represents the União Federal on TERRACAP’s administration board.

Sandra Bernardes Ribeiro is an architect and urbanist. She has worked for the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (1985–2002) and is currently working for the Ministry of Cities.

Maria Elisa Costa is an architect. She is a former president of the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional and is currently editing a series of books on Lucio Costa.

Farès el-Dahdah is an architect and historian. He is on the faculty at the Rice University School of Architecture, where he teaches design, history, and theory. El-Dahdah is currently working on a Lucio Costa monograph.

Sylvia Ficher is an architect and social historian. She is on the faculty of the Universidade de Brasilia, School of Architecture and Urbanism, where she teaches urban and architectural history.

Matheus Gorovitz is an architect and historian. He is on the faculty of the Universidade de Brasilia, School of Architecture and Urbanism, where he teaches aesthetics and art history. Gorovitz is the author of Brasília, uma questão de escala and Os riscos do projeto.

Francisco Leitão is an architect and urban planner. He is engaged in the urban planning and preservation activities of Brasilia's Subsecretaria de Urbanismo e Preservação.

Marta Litwinczik is a historian. She has worked for the Departamento do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico do Distrito Federal (1996–2001) and is currently working for the Núcleo de Estudos da Cultura, Oralidade, Imagem e Memória/Universidade de Brasília.

Ana Luiza Nobre is an architect and historian. She is on the faculty of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica, where she teaches in the History of Brazilian Art and Architecture Graduate Program. She is the co-editor of Um modo de ser moderno. Lucio Costa e a crítica contemporânea.

Geraldo Nogueira Batista is an architect and an urban planner. He is a former Director of the Universidade de Brasilia School of Architecture and Urbanism.

José Pessôa is an architect and historian. He teaches design and history at the Universidade Federal Fluminense. Pessôa is the author of Lucio Costa:
documentos de trabalho.

Juan Antonio Zapatel is an architect. He is on the faculty of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Department of Architecture and Urbanism.
