Fall 2007 studio

This publication brings together the work of twelve students. Conceptually, our work follows the path of a drop of water as it flows through the Tajo River and its tributaries from Madrid, along the Jarama River, crossing Aranjuez and Toledo and ending in Talavera de la Reina.
The study uses a twenty-year horizon for our predictions and the realization of the projects proposed. It includes a vision for the entire "Middle Tajo" river segment and includes proposed designs at each location that offer specific solutions in rapidly growing urban nodes. To achieve real change and our future vision for the Tajo, the most essential is cooperation between the communities of Madrid and Castilla-La Mancha. This cooperation is indispensable as the key to the implementation of the proposed projects as well as sustainable development for the region as a whole.
