Clemens is an innovative developer interested in the discovery and preservation of historic buildings, and has successfully revitalized forgotten downtown properties into economically viable projects. He is an advocate of a balanced approach to development and has pioneered the design for the first sustainable office tower in Toronto, which is now approved by the City of Toronto. Innovation Square is a complex of three towers in downtown Toronto, designed for high-tech tenants featuring innovative and leading edge sustainable technologies of natural systems and renewable energy. Clemens was born in Germany, studied Agricultural Science at the University of Bonn and Economics at the University of Cologne. He moved to Canada in 1987 and lives in Toronto with his wife and three children.
