MARK FAVERMANN, B.A. (Washington & Lee University), MCRP (Harvard)

Mark Favermann is the principal of Favermann Design, a multidiscipline design consultancy in Boston. The firm is involved in projects ranging from graphics to industrial design to urban design. Over the past 25 years, the firm has been involved in design for shopping centers and retail chains, campus planning and corporate identity as well as for towns and cities.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Favermann served as the Director of Visual and Environmental Arts for the City of Boston’s Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Later he was a consultant to both the City of Boston’s neighborhood commercial district program and to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Economic Development advising on urban commercial revitalization and image development. The firm has worked on retail projects in North America, France and South America.

Award winning Favermann Design created the "Look" for the World University Games in Buffalo, NY, Southern Ontario, Canada, and was one of five design firms chosen to design the "Look" for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. The firm worked on a number of major national and international sports championships, including the Ryder Cup Matches in 1999, the NCAA 2000 Final Four in Indianapolis, the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida and the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England. For the past two years, Favermann Design has been design consultant to the Boston Red Sox.
