Bob's All Beef Hot Links

". . .there is no lack of Web Pages that amount to no more than a set of pointers to things some person supposedly thinks are spiffy-keen. . .While I do not deny that some sites deserve recognition and a few extra pointers. . .Give it a rest. At least, don't put it in your personal page.

I must also protest the use of the word Hot to describe given sites or collections of sites. Almost all of the pages out there qualify as Hot, save for a few that are strictly academic communication, and even a few of those are pretty hip."

-- A Well Known Web Curmudgeon.
I forget where I saw this, I think it was in YAHOO under Hardware.

"Since most Home Pages are a shameless exercise in personal vanity (mine especially so), it is rare that a Home Page is not benefited by a few convenient, or at least interesting escape routes. A persons links usually tell more about them--or at least more interesting things about them--than their resume. And they're called Hot Links cause I stole them from YAHOO. OK! Jeeze!"
