The 2012 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has elevated RTKL’s Timothy Twomey, MArch ’78, to its prestigious College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the profession.
“Tim’s contributions to the architecture profession make him deserving of this elevation to AIA’s College of Fellows. With the hard work and dedication that he has shown throughout his career, it is only right that he is part of this most distinguished group of members” said RTKL President and CEO Lance Josal, FAIA. “RTKL is honored to have his trailblazing spirit help lead to continued success for our firm.”
The AIA Fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession. Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level. Out of a total AIA membership of over 80,000, there are just over 3,000 distinguished with the honor of fellowship and honorary fellowship.
The 2012 Fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the 2012 National AIA Convention and Design Exposition in Washington, D.C.
