Burcin Becerik-Gerber (DDes ’06) has been appointed to the Stephen Schrank Early Career Chair in Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Southern California. Professor Becerik-Gerber was recognized this past August in MIT’s Technology Review as one of the world’s top innovators under the age of 35. As an honoree on the magazine’s 2012 TR35 list, Becerik-Gerber joins 34 other innovators spanning the fields of energy, biotechnology, nanotechnology, the Web, computer and electronics hardware and software, and other emerging disciplines.
