Radcliffe unveils public art installation by GSD students

The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study unveiled a public-art installation designed by GSD students as part of its capital campaign launch event on October 28. Keojin Jin and Juhun Lee (both MDes '14) won the competition last spring for a site-specific public-art project to be constructed and prominently displayed in Radcliffe Yard.

Saturate the Moment, an undulating structure fabricated from fiberglass strips and fishing lines, is a “self-irrigating installation” designed to capture moisture from the air and return it to the ground beneath. The work, said Jin, is “a conversation between the ground plane and the air.”

The newly named Wallach Garden borders Brattle Street across from Harvard’s Loeb Drama Center and will host Saturate the Moment for two years.
