The Harvard GSD fall lecture program will start this Thursday evening, September 4, with a lecture by architect Bjarke Ingels. Among other highlights of this semester are lectures by Renzo Piano on the soon-to-be-opened Harvard Art Museums; novelist Suketu Mehta (author of Maximum City: Bombay Lost and Found); original members of the Urban Design Group; urban planning and design firm Interboro; landscape architects Christophe Girot and Joseph Disponzio; artist-designers Lucy Orta and Joep van Lieshout; Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck, and more! Other events include a conference on the planning of Baghdad in the 20th Century, the launch of the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities, and Grounded Visionaries, GSD Design Weekend + Campaign Launch.
