MDes Professor of Art, Design, and the Public Domain Krzysztof Wodiczko’s “Homeless Projection: Place des Arts” will be on view at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal from October 8, 2014 to November 22, 2014. A new site-specific projection, “Homeless Projection: Place des Arts” invites the homeless who frequent Montreal’s downtown to populate the Théâtre Maisonneuve.
Made in collaboration with St. Michael’s Mission and other community organizations, Wodiczko has created a space for storytelling and a context and surface for the projection of desires and experiences.
Additionally, later this week, Wodiczko will present his work at the New School in New York at their Graduate Institute for Design, Ethnography, and Social Thought, as part of a seminar titled “The Inner Public,” on October 10.
