What makes a place memorable? What makes urban design joyful? How do we design urban spaces and catalysts that engage people and create more inspiring places? In this three-day round table conversation, our aim is to explore the qualities, tactics and framework that promote happier places. We will tour inspired public spaces in Boston and Cambridge and examine the tools city makers use to create joyful places. We are aiming for a lively discussion that combines the skill sets of urban planners, architects, landscape architects, policy-makers, urban designers, etc.
