Fundamentals of CAD
This course has a dual objective: it provides the conceptual framework for employing computing in or making immediate and effective use of the emerging digital repertoire. Topics include basics of computation, fundamental and intermediate concepts of geometric modeling, the integration of spatial data within a geographic information system (GIS), image processing, as well as publishing on the Internet. A series of computer-based exercises and readings of increasing sophistication constitute the course\’s homework. This course is a prerequisite for all other computing courses offered at the GSD.
