Chad Oppenheim and Enzo Enea “(De)Constructing Paradise”

Enzo Enea, the founder and principal owner of Enea Landscape Design in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland, will join Chad Oppenheim during his weekly lecture at Harvard University to share his thoughts on the notion of paradise and how it can be expressed through landscape design. By giving an introduction to his company, their design and work philosophy, and showing examples of their projects, he will give his impressions on how paradise can be executed. Integral to his ideas of a successful landscape are the stages of critical spatial and program analysis (or, deconstruction) and, as a design/build firm, the final stage of implementation (construction).

Today, Enzo Enea is the most renowned landscape architect in Switzerland, and with a business which runs far beyond the Swiss and European borders, his reputation is by now equally established on a world wide scale, with clients in countries like Russia, Egypt, Greece, Romania, Poland, Germany, France, Spain, China, Thailand and the USA.

Enzo Enea has designed more than 800 gardens – from the project draft to the realization of the tiniest of details. His style, intuition and diligence explain the success story of his company. His creations are comprehensively documented in the book enea private gardens.
