Chris Calott (LF ’12) in Conversation with Jesse Keenan, “Developer Architect: Real Estate As Practice”

Developer Architect, Poster

Prof. Chris Calott  (LF’12; University of California, Berkeley) explores a range of values and practices inherent in hybrid developer-architect firms. Through an exploration of case studies, Prof. Calott will highlight pathways from which architects can engage the analytical processes of real estate development to inform their design practices. The lecture is intended to demystify the transaction, financial and regulatory parameters of production in favor of developing a more comprehensive skill set for designers and non-designers a like. The lecture will be followed by a conversation with Prof. Jesse M. Keenan (GSD) on the nature of various career pathways available to those interested in this emergent form of practice.

This event is organized by Practice Platform Lecture Series / Foundation of Practice (7212)
