Film Premiere in Loeb Library: “Josep Lluis Sert / A Nomadic Dream”
Premiere of a film by Pablo Bujosa, with research by Maria Charneco Llanos.
In order to tell the story of Sert not only as an architect but also as an academic figure the filmmakers make use of extensive interviews with surviving contemporaries of Sert, an influential Boston architect and former Dean of Harvard GSD, and with the architect’s friends, including Rafael Moneo, architect; Robert Campbell, Boston Globe architecture critic; Robert Gardner, former Director of the Film Study Center at Harvard. The film also includes extensive, never before seen archival footage showing Sert and his work at different stages of his life and career.
