Launch: Harvard Center For Green Buildings and Cities Inaugural Challenge Conference

Celebrating the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities, this conference will bring together a diverse set of scientists, designers, and economists to consider issues whose eventual solution will transform the way we design, build, and live. As the Center works toward a multidisciplinary plan for the future of the built environment that will respect and respond to the intricacies of an increasingly complex global landscape, the annual conference will continue the inquiry into effective strategies for shifting the frontier of knowledge and practice. Organized by Ali Malkawi, founding director of the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities, with Richard Freeman, founding codirector, and research faculty Iñaki Abalos, Martin Bechthold, Stephen Ervin, Eric Höweler, Jerold Kayden, Panagiotis Michalatos, Kiel Moe, Toshiko Mori, Richard Peiser, Antoine Picon, Spiro Pollalis, Chris Reed, Holly Samuelson, and Allen Sayegh. Open to the public; registration is required.
