Network licenses and installation media for this program are provided by the GSD

To use network-licensed software you are required to be on the GSD wired network, on the Harvard Secure wifi, or logged into VPN while working remotely.

The installation files for this program can be downloaded here

Once downloaded, double-click the Simcenter_Flovent_Install.exe to begin the installation

When prompted to Choose Product Features choose Typical

Choose Typical Installation

 

When prompted, choose US units and select the default installation settings

Choose US Units

 

Once installed, you will need to set a System Environment Variable with the port and name of the GSD license server.

Click on your Windows Start menu and search for Environment Variable and open the Control Panel option to edit system variables

Search for Environment variable

Click on Environment Variables and then select New under System Variables

Enter the information:

Variable Name:  MGLS_LICENSE_FILE

Variable Value: [email protected]

And click Ok to close the windows

Create a new system environment variable with 1717@gsdlicense.university.harvard.edu as the value and SALT_LICENSE_SERVER

Launch Flovent from your programs list and it should check out a license successfully, remember you will need to be connected to the VPN service when working remotely
