Neil Brenner, professor of urban theory, has been named one of Thomson Reuters’ Highly Cited Researchers 2014. The ranking distinguishes some of world’s leading scientific minds who have produced work of exceptional impact.
Arielle Assouline-Lichten (MArch ’13), co-instigator of the Denise Scott Brown Pritzker petition, has been selected to participate in “OfficeUS”, a functioning architectural firm that is the American Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
Robert Campbell writes in the Boston Sunday Globe that it’s too soon to rule on the success of the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute before it opens at Williams College. But so far he likes what he sees, the result of a partnership of architect Tadao Ando and Gary Hilderbrand (professor of landscape architecture). Ken Chongsuwat and Peichen Hao (both MLA I 15') earned honorable mention–the top award–in the Ecological Community competition of the Two World Community Foundation. Their advisors for the project were David Mah (lecturer in landscape architecture) and Chris Reed (associate professor of landscape architecture).
