Ian Lowrie

Teaching Associate in Architecture

Ian Lowrie is a Teaching Associate in Architecture at the Graduate School of Design. He currently teaches the option studio Tall, Lean, In-between and seminar course Type and the Idea of the City with Christopher C.M. Lee.

Lowrie studied at the University of British Columbia, ETH Zürich, and the University of Glasgow. In 2015 he was research resident at the Canadian Centre for Architecture and in 2016 a finalist for Canada’s Prix de Rome in Architecture for Emerging Practitioners.

An Associate at Serie Architects in London, Lowrie has led several projects and competitions in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He has previously worked in Vancouver and Brussels.
