Kathleen Smalley

Kathleen Smalley, former Of Counsel at Foley & Lardner LLP, has practiced law in a variety of settings related to real estate: as inside general counsel to major developers Trammell Crow Company and Catellus Development Company; as a litigator with a premier trial firm resolving real estate-related disputes; as a transactional lawyer in a leading law firm representing developers, users, and lenders in real estate transactions. She has taught Real Estate Transactions for law students at Harvard Law School, Stanford Law School, Yale Law School, and UCLA Law School. She has degrees from Harvard Law School (J.D magna cum laude) and Rice University (B.A., Economics, summa cum laude). Ms. Smalley began her legal career as a law clerk to Justice Sandra Day O’Connor at the U.S. Supreme Court.
