Mauricio is a senior associate landscape architect at Sasaki who specializes in urban site projects and has over 25+ years of related professional experience creating public places around the world. Mauricio’s work centers on large-scale, complex spaces where he focuses on creating places for people, enhancing ecological conditions, and promoting sustainable strategies. His professional background includes experience as a civil engineer, so he brings an interdisciplinary approach to his practice. Mauricio holds a Masters of Landscape Architecture from SUNY–ESF/Syracuse University, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and is an active local advocate for community spaces and organizations.
