Community Service Fellowships at the GSD

South Africa South Africa [2] New Orleans

There are currently two community service fellowship programs open to students at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. They are:

♦  CSFP - Summer Internship

♦  CSFP - International Travel

♦  Student Eligibility

CSFP - SUMMER INTERNSHIP (10 weeks, paid)

CSFP - Summer Internship is a competitive summer program. Each year, six Harvard GSD students are selected to work in community and nonprofit organizations, federal and state agencies. The student work must be design or planning oriented. Preference is given to projects that are based in the greater Boston area.

Fellows are awarded a stipend of up to seven thousand dollars. Students submit proposals for a community service project by the first week in March. A Faculty Committee selects Fellows and makes awards to fund summer employment.

Recent CSFP - Summer Internship sponsoring organizations include:

Asian Community Development Corp. (ACDC), Boston, MA
A Better City (ABC), Boston, MA
Beverly School for the Deaf, Beverly, MA
Community Design Resource Center of Boston, MA
