The GSD welcomes visitors to Gund Hall. Upon arrival, all non-HUID visitors will be required to check in at Gund Hall’s Quincy Street entrance, where a security guard will review their photo ID. Gund Hall is the only GSD building open to the general public. All other academic properties require ID card access.

Getting to Gund Hall

Designed by Australian architect and GSD graduate John Andrews, Gund Hall opened in 1972. The dramatic facade and glass surfaces make an eloquent statement about the design excellence and creativity for which the school is known.

COVID-19 Policy

Following guidance from both the CDC and Harvard University leadership, the GSD has strategized its COVID-19 policy in order to bolster our individual and collective health and safety. Masking is optional in GSD buildings for fully vaccinated and boosted individuals only. Anyone who is not fully vaccinated and boosted must continue to wear masks indoors.
