Jerold Kayden, Amanda Burden to Co-Chair Zoning the City Conference in NYC

Zoning the City is a one-day conference sponsored by the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, the New York City Department of City Planning, and The Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute of Baruch College. The November 15 conference, set to be held at the McGraw-Hill Conference Center in New York City, will be co-chaired by Jerold Kayden, Frank Backus Williams Professor of Urban Planning and Design, and Amanda Burden, Director of the New York City Department of City Planning, and Chair of the New York City Planning Commission.
The conference features prominent experts who will describe the challenges facing New York City and the role zoning should and should not play in meeting them. Among the conference speakers are GSD alum Thom Mayne, MArch ’78, current Loeb Fellow Peter Park, and Loeb alumni Toni Griffin ’98 and Harriet Tregoning ’05.
