Pierre Bélanger, Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture, has been selected as a member of the international jury for the competition commissioned by the Ministère des Transports du Québec.
The YUL-MTL : Moving Landscapes International Ideas Competition aims to reinvent the landscapes that highlight Montreal’s international gateway corridor linking Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to its downtown area (MTL) along Autoroute 20. The venue aims to seize the opportunity to propose planning options to structure a coherent vision for Montreal’s cosmopolitan identity as a UNESCO City of Design. A total of $100,000 will be awarded and shared between 3 laureates. Chaired by Italian urbanist Bernardo Secchi, other members of the jury include Ken Greenberg, Florence Junca-Adenot, Anick La Bissonière, Marioun Shaneen.
