James K. M. Cheng (MArch ’77), Appointed to the Order of Canada

In December 2012, Governor General of Canada, David Johnston, honored Mr. Cheng as a Member of the Order of Canada, one of the country’s highest civilian honours–created to “recognize a lifetime of oustanding achievement, dedication to community and service to the nation.”

David K. M. Cheng, C.M., of Vancouver, British Columbia, was honored “For helping to develop the Vancouver style of architecture, influencing the face of a city and a generation of Canadian architects.” Read the full list of awardees here.
