Landscape Architecture Frontiers launches with work by GSD faculty and alums

The inaugural issue of Landscape Architecture Frontiers magazine features design and research by several GSD faculty and graduates, including an introductory essay titled “The New Geographic Landscape” by Pierre Bélanger (associate professor of landscape architecture) and essays by Emily Schlickman (MLA ’12), Sara Jacobs (MLA ’12), and Cathy De Almeida (MLA ’11). The issue is guest edited by Xiaoxan Lu (MLA ’12), whose award winning thesis work on bomb demining in Laos has been recognized by the American Society of Landscape Architects and featured in Fast Company and Landscape Architecture Magazine.
Landscape Architecture Frontiers is based in Beijing. Chief editor for the bi-monthly publication is visiting professor of landscape architecture Kongjian Yu (DDes ’95).
