GSD faculty in motion

Preston Scott Cohen (professor of architecture and chair of the department) and Ingeborg Rocker (associate professor of architecture) are among the architects and theorists presenting at the conference Issues? Concerning the projects of Peter Eisenman at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Architecture November 11 and 12. Cohen’s talk “Post-Corbusian” and Rocker’s “Disciplinary autonomy/Computation” will be given within the unusual format of thematic focused conversations with Eisenman regarding his seminal theoretical and educational work and architectural practice of the past 25 years.

Cohen has not been sitting still. Just last week he was at Kunsthaus Bregenz, Austria, where he spoke at Seismographen Der Architektur: From Model to Reality. He was at the National Academy Museum in N.Y. October 23rd for Architects in Conversation: Preston Scott Cohen, where he discussed his recent work with Stan Allan of the School of Architecture at Princeton. Cohen’s Lightfall at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Arcade Canopy in Lower Manhattan have received tremendous critical acclaim.

He also has given lectures this term at Yale and University of Tennessee.
