Lizzie MacWillie (MDesS ADPD/MAUD ’14) and Nicolas Rivard (MAUD ’13, 2013 Global Health Corps Fellow with MASS Design) have published a paper entitled “Beyond Participation: Community Storytelling for Self-Organization”. Written for the closing conference for Freehouse, a project organized by 2012 Curry Stone Design Prize recipient Jeanne van Heeswijk, the paper is an exploration of the use of narrative as an inclusive strategy for public interest design and community self-organization.
