Shanxi art museum by Preston Scott Cohen, Inc., featured on April cover of AIA Architect magazine

The Taiyuan Museum of Art, designed by Professor Scott Cohen’s architectural design firm, Preston Scott Cohen, Inc., is featured on the April cover of Architect, the magazine of the American Institute of Architects. The museum is located in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi, and the design was carefully chosen in an international design competition in 2007.

Preston Scott Cohen, Inc., is based in Cambridge, MA and is a full service firm with a team of six architectural designers and two project architects. Founder and principal Professor Scott Cohen is the Gerald M. McCue Professor of Architecture and served as Chair of the Architecture department from 2008-2013. Professor Cohen’s Datong Library was recently selected as one of ten significant projects to watch for in 2014, and followed the success of his Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2011).
