Description: Students learn how to use data and geospatial information to understand the structure and performance on an urban water infrastructure system, and identify G.I. opportunities based on these data.
The course will be comprised of 5 classes. During the first half of the course students will be introduced to understanding urban water infrastructure system through a data-driven approach. The second half of the course covers qualitative best management practice criterias used to broaden green infrastructure opportunity areas based on geospatial data. The approach for this course has been developed in the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure.
Objectives:
1. performance data collection and visualization
2. geospatial data collection and mapping
3. identify opportunity areas for G.I.
Requirements: Familiarity with GIS
