China GSD, Latin GSD: Edgard Gouveia Jr. Presenting “Play the Call”
Edgard Gouveia Jr. is a Brazilian architect and urbanist specialized in bioarchitecture and intuitive technology. He created the internationally acclaimed Oasis Game and Warriors Without Weapons program and is at the edge of applied research on how to change the world through play. Edgard will talk about how his work empowers communities by bringing together residents and young professionals to create relevant, useful, and appropriate public spaces. He will engage the audience to participate in some of the collaborative games and show examples of his work from around the world including favelas in Brazil, slums in India and immigrant neighborhoods in Holland.
