Latin GSD Lecture: Elisa Silva, “Mapping 48 years of informal settlement growth in Caracas”

Elisa Silva (MArch ’02) was the winner of the Harvard Graduate School of Design Wheelwright Prize for 2011; her work is focused in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. Her main focus is the mapping of informal settlements, its evolution through time, and the challenges that they pose for the urban configuration of the city. Anita Berrizbeitia, Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Professor of Landscape Architecture, will give an introduction.
