Pablo Forero Quintero and Julian Restrepo Molina, Taller 301: “On Starting Your Own Practice”

Starting an office is never an easy feat, especially in Latin America. As an emerging practice in Bogotá, Colombia, Taller 301 has garnered numerous national and international achievements despite the studio’s young age.
Given their short but intense trajectory, partners and co-founders Pablo Forero Quintero and Julian Restrepo Molina wish to share–without any self-interest–their knowledge and experience on starting their own practice: the good, the bad and the ugly. As part of a young generation of emerging architects in Colombia, they wish to contribute their first-hand accounts on aspects rarely discussed in an academic environment.
Their lecture is not so much about architecture, but about architects; not so much about the work that architects produce, but about how they create the means to produce it.
