Spain GSD Lecture: Studio Banana

Architects by education, entrepreneurs by miseducation, creative mavericks by definition. Key Kawamura (AA Dip) and Ali Ganjavian (RCA) founded Studio Banana in 2007 out of a garage, and it now has offices in Great Britain, Switzerland and Spain. The ethos behind this multidisciplinary creative platform is lots of playfulness and radical collaboration at the fringe of disciplines. Together with their multicultural team they are big believers in the power of cross-pollination. Through their professional and academic activity they are in a quest to find the sweet spot where imagination, creativity and innovation smoothly flow into each other.

Most famously known for their creation Ostrich Pillow, they have lectured and their work has been exhibited and published widely (MoMA New York, Guggenheim Bilbao, Stanford University, Skolkovo School of Management Moscow, Tokyo Designers’ Week).
