The State of the Nation’s Housing 2011
Part of the Brown Bag Lecture Series hosted by the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University. Bring a lunch – dessert provided!
With millions of homeowners stuck in houses worth less than they owe on their mortgages, existing home sales remain depressed while new home sales continue near record lows, concludes The State of the Nation’s Housing, a report released earlier this year by the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies. Elevated vacancies and foreclosures continue to place downward pressure on prices, and in places where foreclosures are concentrated, property markets are in turmoil.
Join the Joint Center for Housing Studies’ Managing Director Eris S. Belsky, Research Director Chris Herbert, and Research Manager Daniel McCue as they discuss the state of America’s housing and the latest edition of the Center’s signature annual report.
