“VideoCity,” Screening and Panel Discussion

A video presentation and panel of three filmmakers discussing the use of film to engage citizens in the future of the built environment.
Participants:
Jules Coke (Squint Opera) has completed films for the London Olympic Committee and the architect Will Alsop.
Damon Rich (Founder of the Center for Urban Pedagogy, and Urban Designer for the CIty of Newark, New Jersey—and a former Loeb Fellow at the GSD) has spearheaded innovative videos that inform as well as allow citizens to find their own voice through the moving image.
Jasper Goldman (Streetlight) made the advocacy film “City of Water” for the Municipal Art Society, and has recently completed the video “Hablemos De La Habana Vieja” for the Office of the Havana Historian, in Cuba.
Michael Hooper, Assistant Professor of Urban Planning (GSD), will moderate.
