Reporting to the Associate Dean for Administration, we support the Dean and GSD faculty by providing a wide range of sponsored research services for all externally funded grant and contract proposals. All research proposals first need review and approval at the School level, then at the University level before it can be submitted to the sponsor. Our office will work with faculty to navigate Harvard’s sponsored research proposal submission process including facilitation of the required proposal review and approval process. All research proposals require final sign-off by the Associate Dean for Administration (who is the final approver on behalf of the Dean). We also work with the Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP) which is the central administration office responsible for sponsored programs throughout Harvard and oversees the entire lifecycle of an award, including pre-award, research finance, and sponsored financial reporting, billing and collection.
