Alma A. Alison Fund

Established in 1993 through a bequest by Alma A. Alison, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students in their first year of the Master in Landscape Architecture program.

Alumni Council – Alan Altshuler Fund for Financial Aid

Established in 2007 by members of the GSD Alumni Council to honor Alan Altshuler, former Dean of the Faculty of Design, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Gregory S. Baldwin Fellowship

Established in 2012 by the Baldwin family through the Lamb-Baldwin Foundation in honor of Gregory S. Baldwin AB ’62, MArch ’66, MAUD ’67, the fellowship provides financial assistance for a top-performing GSD student enrolled in their final semester of study in the Master of Architecture or Master in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design programs.

Walker Beale Scholarship

Established in 1958 through a bequest by Marie Beale in memory of her late husband’s son, Walker Beale AB 1918, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Uriel H. Crocker Fund

Established in 1948 through a bequest by Annie J. Crocker in memory of her husband, Uriel H. Crocker AB 1853, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master in Landscape Architecture program.

Francis Hathaway Cummings Scholarship

Established in 1898 through a bequest by Margaret K. and Charles A. Cummings in memory of their son, Francis Hathaway Cummings, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master in Landscape Architecture program.

Charles William Eliot Fund

Established in 1926 by alumni in honor of former Harvard president Charles William Eliot AB 1853, the fund provides financial aid for students in the Master in Landscape Architecture program.

Fabian Fall Memorial Fund

Established in 1947 by Francis G. Fabian and his sister, Mary H. Fabian in memory of their cousin, Fabian Fall COL 1910, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master in Landscape Architecture program.

Roger Ferris and Partners Fellowship

Established in 2016 by a Roger P. Ferris MDes ’93, LF ’92, the fellowship provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Phil Freelon Fellowship

Established in 2016 by Perkins&Will in honor of Phil Freelon LF ’90, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with the aim of opening access and expanding opportunities for underrepresented members of the GSD community.

Turin Gans Fellowship

Established in 2022 by Abigail K. Turin MArch ’97 and Jonathan Gans, the Turin Gans Fellowship provides financial aid to students at the GSD.

Grounded Visionaries Alumni Council Financial Aid Fund

Established in 2017 by members of the GSD Alumni Council in honor of the Grounded Visionaries fundraising campaign, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Jack Gruber Fund for Financial Aid

Established in 1993 by David Henig MArch ’93, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

The Robert P. Hubbard Fellowship

Established in 2017 through a bequest by Robert P. Hubbard COL ’51, the fellowship supports GSD students who are graduates of Harvard College, from New Hampshire, and/or in the Master in Landscape Architecture program.

Japan Alumni Financial Aid Fund

Established in 1991 by alumni and friends, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

John E. Johnson, Ph.D., and Etta G. Johnson Fellowship

Established in 2020 by Carrie Alice Johnson MArch ’93 in honor of her parents, John and Etta Johnson, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with the aim of opening access and expanding opportunities for underrepresented members of the GSD community who are from the United States.

George Barr Kayser and Lillian Burke Kayser Scholarship Fund

Established in 1984 through the bequest Lillian Burke Kayser in memory of her husband, George Barr Kayser AB 1914, MArch 1917, the fund provides financial aid to GSD students who reside either in the state of Massachusetts or the state of New Hampshire.

Fred Koetter Financial Aid Fund

Established in 2014 by Peter Coombe MArch ’88 and Betty Chen AB ’87 in honor of Fred Koetter, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Edward M. Lamont Financial Aid Fund

Established in 1981 by Edward M. Lamont Sr. AB ’48, MBA ’51, the fund provides financial aid for incoming students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Harold and Nathalia Lautner Scholarship

Established in 1993 through a bequest by Harold W. Lautner MCP ’36, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master in Landscape Architecture program.

Professor William J. LeMessurier Fellowship

Established in 2007 by LeMessurier Consultants Inc. in memory of Professor William J. LeMessurier AB ’47, GSD ’49, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Paul C. K. Lu MLA ’67 Financial Aid Fund

Established in 2016 by Mark Lu and Professor Vivian E. Shih, MD, AM ’98 in memory of his late father and her late husband, Paul Lu, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students whose area of study is in sustainability.

Mead Family Fellowship

Established in 2022 by Scott Mead AB ’77, the Mead Family Fellowship provides financial aid to students at the GSD.

Richard T. Murphy MLA ’80 Fellowship

Established in 2018 by Richard T. Murphy MLA ’80, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master in Landscape Architecture II program.

Nagle-Johnson Family Fellowship

Established in 2018 by Perkins&Will in honor of Ralph Johnson MArch ’73 and Kathleen Nagle MArch ’87, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with the aim of opening access and expanding opportunities for underrepresented members of the GSD community.

Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation, Inc. Community Service Fellowship

Established in 1986 by the Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation, the fellowship provides financial aid to graduates of Harvard College who demonstrate a talent for and commitment to public service careers.

Morgenstern Rosenblatt Fellowship

Established in 2022 by Robyn Morgenstern Rosenblatt MArch ’97, the Morgenstern Rosenblatt Fellowship provides financial aid to students at the GSD.

Harry and Penelope Seidler Financial Aid Fund

Established in 2005 by Penelope and Harry Seidler MArch ’46, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Eduard Sekler Fellowship

Established in 2005 by former GSD students of Professor Eduard Sekler, Emeritus Professor of Architecture, and Emeritus Osgood Hooker Professor of Visual Art, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students in the MArch II, MAUD, MDes, and DDes degree programs with a proven interest in the history, theory, criticism, historic preservation of architecture, and/or urban design in Europe and non-western countries.

Josep Lluís Sert Scholarship Fund

Established in 1968 by alumni and friends in honor of Josep Lluís Sert’s retirement as dean of the GSD, the fund provides financial aid for students attending the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Spiro Fellowship Program

Established in 1981 by Lionel B. Spiro AB ’60, MArch ’63, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with a preference for students working across disciplines.

Carl F. Steinitz Financial Aid Fund

Established in 2002 by Jack Dangermond MLA ’69, Nickolas Faust, Lawrie Jordan MLA ’75, and Bruce Rado MLA ’73 in honor of Carl F. Steinitz, Emeritus Alexander and Victoria Wiley Professor of Landscape Architecture and Planning, this fund provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master of Landscape Architecture program with a concentration in geographical information systems.

James G. Stockard, Jr. MCP ’68, LF ’78 Fund

Established in 2015 by alumni and friends of the Loeb Fellowship program in honor of Jim Stockard MCP ’68, LF ’78, former curator of the Loeb Fellowship, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students who demonstrate a professional interest in affordable housing and community development.
