Please join us for a private hard hat tour, lecture and reception at the site of Whitney Museum of American Art’s new home in downtown Manhattan on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 4-8 p.m.
The Whitney is constructing a new building which will open to the public in 2015. Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, built by Turner Construction and situated between the High Line and the Hudson River, the new site will vastly increase the Whitney’s exhibition and programming space, providing the first comprehensive view of its unsurpassed collection of modern and contemporary American art.
It’s your chance to get an exclusive look at the new building and learn more about the intricacies of the design and construction in progress.
GSD alumni are receiving preference and may register for the event first before it’s offered to the broader Harvard community the week of November 25. Tickets are $40 per person and $20 for Recent Grads.
For more information, contact the GSD Alumni Relations Office at 617-495-4315 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
