The Charles Abrams Scholarship is awarded annually by the American Planning Association to a graduate student in a planning program at Columbia University, Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the New School for Social Research, or the University of Pennsylvania. Students are nominated by faculty at the end of their first year of study.

Charles Abrams (1901-1970) was an internationally recognized authority on housing and urban affairs. Throughout his career, he exhibited an active desire to help students in planning programs. In his honor, the American Planning Association administers this scholarship fund established by his widow, Ruth Davidson, and a number of colleagues.
