Returning Land, Reshaping Futures is a project-based course report from the Spring 2025 Climate Migration seminar at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, taught by Hannah Teicher.

This seminar served as a forum for students to work with the Climigration Network and their partners. Working collaboratively, the students analyzed case studies and charted directions for future research at the intersection of climate-related migration and Indigenous land rematriation, or Land Back. This preliminary research lays the groundwork for future iterations of the seminar which will investigate the potential to build collaborations around land stewardship and adaptation.

The project benefited from the support of the Harvard Mellon Urban Initiative .
