The GSD is committed to supporting students through a broad range of funding opportunities. These include scholarships and grants awarded through the school, outside scholarships from external organizations, and employment opportunities around the GSD. Students can further support their academic pursuits with travel awards, which help fund research trips, field studies, and conference participation, as well as fellowships that provide sustained support for specialized research. At commencement, the GSD recognizes academic excellence through awards and prizes, however these are not considered financial aid.

Public Prizes & Fellowships

The GSD offers numerous fellowships and public prizes that recognize and support innovative research. These opportunities are often open to GSD community members and, in some cases, members of the public, though the specific eligibility conditions are not the same for every opportunity. Anyone interested should read the requirements and eligibility criteria closely to understand who qualifies and how to apply. Many of these opportunities include funding that supports and advances recipients’ research projects and activities.
