Sameh Wahba (MUP ’97, PhD ’02) Received AIA Presidential Citation for Outstanding Service
Sameh Wahba (MUP ’97, PhD ’02) has received an American Institute of Architects (AIA) Presidential Citation for Outstanding Service in recognition of his “distinguished and visionary leadership advancing the vital relationship among architecture, urban development, climate resilience, and sustainable investment throughout the world.”
On June 13, 2026, Wahba delivered the keynote presentation “Architects as Catalysts for Sustainable Development” at the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design in San Diego, CA, covering his work at The World Bank Group on cities, disaster risk management, water, environment, and climate change.
Wahba served as the GSD Alumni Council Co-Chair from 2022 to 2026.
