Join us for a conversation on the role of design in Paris’ urban transformation with Michel Desvigne, renowned French landscape architect working internationally on projects ranging from urban public space to large territories. The conversation will explore Michel’s role in the urban greening of Paris and center the relationship between the design community and political leadership. This event will be facilitated by Maurice Cox, Emma Bloomberg Professor in Residence of Urban Planning and Design, and Magda Maaoui, Assistant Professor of Urban Planning.
Michel Desvigne is a world-renowned landscape architect known as much for his meticulous and modern designs as for his innovative research. He is the founder and principal at MDP.
His work can be found in over twenty-five countries. His projects are characterized by his ability to identify the elements that can transform and enhance a space, and by his ability to shape and define a landscape.
