The Web Services team oversees the technical maintenance of the GSD’s flagship website, dozens of official GSD subsites, and critical internal systems and tools. These responsibilities include site stability and security, maintaining internal databases and API connections , and implementing updates and enhancements that keep the GSD’s digital platforms current and user-friendly.

The Web Services team partners closely with the Office of Communications on major website projects. This group is known as the Web Team, and together, they develop digital experiences for the public and the university’s internal community. They offer expert advice and training to staff editors, and also advise the GSD’s leadership on digital policies and procedures. Additionally, the Web Team monitors the GSD’s websites to ensure that they are aligned with the Harvard’s standards and policies, including data security and digital accessibility.
