Financial Aid Open to all programs or multiple areas

Established in 2007 by members of the GSD Alumni Council in honor of Alan Altshuler, Ruth and Frank Stanton Professor Emeritus in Urban Policy and Planning and former dean of the GSD, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2012 by the Baldwin family through the Lamb-Baldwin Foundation in honor of Gregory S. Baldwin (AB ’62, MArch ’66, MAUD ’67), the fellowship provides financial assistance for a top-performing GSD student enrolled in the final semester of study in the Department of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Urban Planning and Design.

Established in 1958 through a bequest from Marie Beale in memory of her late husband’s son, Walker Beale (AB 1918), the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2023 by William S. Ehrlich (BArch ’67), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2016 by Roger P. Ferris (MDes ’93, LF ’92), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2023 by Arquitectonica Foundation Inc., Laurinda Spear, and Marisa Fort (MArch ’06), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2016 by Perkins&Will in honor of Phil Freelon (LF ’90), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students with the aim of opening access and expanding opportunities for underrepresented members of the GSD community.

Established in 2023 by Jeanne Gang (MArch ’93) and Mark Schendel (MArch ’89), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2022 by Abigail K. Turin (MArch ’97) and Jonathan Gans, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2017 by members of the GSD Alumni Council in honor of the Grounded Visionaries fundraising campaign, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 1993 by David Henig (MArch ’93), the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established by Joel Heisey (MAUD ’91, MPA ’91), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students, with first priority of opening access and expanding opportunities for underrepresented members of the GSD community, second priority for first-generation graduate school students, and a third priority for students enrolled in the Master of Architecture in Urban Design, Master in Urban Planning, and joint or concurrent degree programs within the Master of Architecture program (with particular interest in joint degree programs with the Harvard Kennedy School).

Established in 2017 through a bequest from Robert P. Hubbard (COL ’51), the fellowship supports GSD students who are graduates of Harvard College, from New Hampshire, and/or enrolled in the Master of Architecture program.

Established in 1991 by alumni and friends, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 1984 through a bequest from Lillian Burke Kayser in memory of her husband, George Barr Kayser (AB 1914, MArch 1917), the fund provides financial aid for GSD students who reside either in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.

Established in 2014 by Peter Coombe (MArch ’88) and Betty Chen (AB ’87) in honor of Fred Koetter, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2005 by Penelope and Harry Seidler (MArch ’46), the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 2005 by former students in honor of Professor Eduard Sekler, Professor Emeritus of Architecture and Osgood Hooker Professor Emeritus of Visual Art, the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students in the Master of Architecture II, Master of Architecture in Urban Design, Master in Design Studies, and Doctor of Design degree programs with a proven interest in the history, theory, criticism, historic preservation of architecture, and/or urban design in Europe and non-Western countries.

Established in 1968 by alumni and friends in honor of Josep Lluís Sert’s retirement as dean of the GSD, the fund provides financial aid for GSD students.

Established in 1981 by Lionel B. Spiro (AB ’60, MArch ’63), the fellowship provides financial aid for GSD students, with a preference for students working across disciplines.
