Andrea Soto Morfin (MLA ’17) and Alejandro Guerrero recently published two monographs that present their architectural and landscape studio, ATELIER ARS, founded in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The monographs, titled Nostalgia and Transgression (Arquine Editorial, Mexico) and TC 170-ATELIER ARS (TC Cuadernos, Spain), bring together fifteen years of practice and present the most significant work shaped by a deep reflection on the three core themes of the studio’s oeuvre: architecture’s relationship with nature through landscape; its intrinsic condition as a discipline, seen through the role of history in contemporary practice; and its relationship to the human experience, explored through rituals and myths.
These monographs document various projects, presented alongside essays by Guerrero and Soto, as well as texts from other voices offering different perspectives on their work.
