The program brought together UC students from architecture, planning, marketing, and health sciences to explore medical tourism and broader questions of health, place, and mobility. Cho also serves as co-PI on a National Research Foundation of South Korea initiative that supported and expanded this work, including a March 2026 conference on global healthcare mobility. The program convened experts in medicine, public health, planning, and design, highlighting the growing need for collaboration across these fields. UC and CUK students and faculty participated alongside invited speakers from regional institutions, including Asan Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital. Activities included site tours, conference events, and meetings with CUK students and faculty. The president of the Catholic University also offered welcoming remarks and expressed enthusiasm for continued collaboration.
