DDes Conference 2020: “Architecture as a ‘Learning’ Living Machine”

Abstract computer glitch graphics with text: “Architecture as a ‘Learning’ Living Machine”

This conference will address new emerging concepts in the field of adaptive and intelligent architecture such as Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Robotic Buildings, and Smart Homes in a form of a symposium. The event will aim to gather critical thinkers in the architectural domain. Our panel includes global practitioners and theorists, including Adrian Chong, Henriette Bier, Pavlos Protopapas, and Sankarshan Murphy. The panel will be followed by a keynote lecture by Kent Larson. This event will serve as an excellent opportunity to reconsider the theories of the 1960’s avant-guards architects with a contemporary mindset. This conversation will allow the Harvard community and its students to engage in a current critical discourse regarding the future of building design and smart homes from design to application.

Please visit the conference website for additional information and to RSVP.
